Dear Parents and Carers,
As our first half term draws to a close, we have so many wonderful things to celebrate here at Gosford Park, especially the fantastic reading our children have been enjoying both in school and at home. Congratulations to everyone who has achieved their ‘Red Reader’ certificate and a special well done to those who are nearly at their ‘Orange Reader’ award. With so many avid readers in school, we have a special challenge for your child to complete next week…
Where is the strangest place you have ever read a book? What is the weirdest and most wonderful thing you could be doing whilst reading? We would love you to share a photograph of yourself reading in a unique place! You might choose to read a book, comic, magazine or leaflet. Your photographs will be displayed at the front of school for all to admire and the most imaginative entries will win a prize.
