At Gosford Park we endeavour to develop a love of languages through the teaching of MFL (modern foreign language) in a fun and enjoyable way. We have chosen to teach French as our MFL in KS2, and this is to ensure pupils have a solid foundation before they move into the next phase of their education. We aim to instil a love of language learning and an awareness of other cultures through teaching French. We want pupils to develop confidence to communicate in French for practical purposes, using all the skills of language learning listening, reading, writing, and speaking. 

Our scheme of work supports pupils to meet the National curriculum end of KS2 attainment targets.
