26.5.23 – They grow up so quickly!

After opening a box of caterpillars 38 days ago, today it was time for the children on The Bridge to release the butterflies. It has been a lovely experience to see the lifecycle up close – some very close as we waved them on their way!

In The Bridge we have been observing our caterpillars as they change into butterflies and today, we were lucky enough to capture one emerging from its chrysalis on camera. While there are ways to tell if it is a boy or a girl, we are just happy to enjoy learning about this life cycle and look forward to releasing all our butterflies before half term.
