Year 1 have had a fantastic day at the Transport Museum. We loved learning about the history of bicycles and looking at a real life velocipede and penny farthing bicycle.
We also loved testing the strength of different bicycle frames using K’nex, testing out our balancing skills and investigating the difference between wooden wheels and having rubber tyres.
Finally, the children visited the museum and were excited to learn about the origins of their class name 1 Humber and the links the Humber Car Company had to the local area.
Thank you to all of our parent volunteers for all of the help you gave us today, we couldn’t have done it without you!
