Year 5: Black Country Museum

Year 5 students recently had an educational and exciting visit to the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley, West Midlands, England. As part of their study of World War II, they explored this unique open-air museum, which beautifully reconstructs historic buildings and brings the past to life.

At the museum, the students stepped back in time to experience the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of the Black Country during the war era. They even got to ride in a bus from the 1940’s!

Through this hands-on experience, Year 5 gained a deeper understanding of the sacrifices, innovations, and everyday life during World War II. It was a bostin’ day of learning and discovery!
